Welcome Back!
President's Message...
Welcome Back! We hope everyone had a wonderful summer filled with laughter and fun! As we begin the year we would like to thank the members of the PLT board and committee chairs who have already worked so hard to prepare for this school year. We are so grateful for the amazing team we have in place and to those volunteers who just come in asking, “What do you need?” How wonderful it is to have such commitment and support! We appreciate you.
The Parent Leadership team is comprised of parents, teachers, and staff members of the Goolsby community. We believe that by all working together, Goolsby will continue to be the great school that it is. We have enjoyed meeting so many parents already and look forward to meeting many more of you.
This year the PLT will be focusing on raising funds for technology for the school. We already have stellar staff, parents and administration and now it is time to provide the technological support that the school needs.

****Friday, September 10 - Patriot Day Morning Ceremony @ 8:50 AM****
All men and women who have served in the armed forces, police, fire, and other public services are invited to attend as our honored guests. Please wear your uniforms.
***WANTED***
At this years ceremony we would like to honor the Goolsby children who have family members that have been or are still deployed overseas. Please send an email to Goolsbyplt@yahoo.com or send a note in to your child’s teacher labeled ‘Patriot Day – PLT’ if you have a family member that is or has been deployed and would like your child to participate.

The mission of the PLT is to carry out activities that support, promote, provide and enhance the educational experience of the students of Goolsby. The PLT provides support for special events and programs that are unable to be funded by other means. The PLT also gives parents and staff the opportunity to work together to make Goolsby an exceptional school for our children.
Parental Involvement plays a huge role in your child’s success in school. This is a great place to learn how you can get more involved.
